Hi, I’m Pixel Lee. I live in China and work as a video editor.

Outside work I tinker: local AI models on a Mac mini home server, small automations, smart-home hacks with an ESP32 and a Raspberry Pi, and music in Logic Pro. When I test something, I write down what I did and the real numbers, so the next person doesn’t have to start from zero.

I’ve kept this blog since 2015, mostly in Chinese. The English section has translations of the posts I think are useful outside China too.

Things I’ve made

• homelab-desk: tell an AI agent one sentence and it sets up a private workbench for a Mac mini home server: friendly domain names, HTTPS, Tailscale-only access, a live dashboard and a daily health check.
• Local AI write-ups: running a 27B model on a Mac mini, choosing how much memory to buy, fine-tuning a TTS voice, local AI video generation.
• A beginner ukulele course and play-along videos on YouTube and Bilibili (as 优客李李, over 100k followers on Bilibili).

What I’m good at

Explaining technical things from the learner’s side, in writing and in recorded video. I edit in Final Cut Pro, script with Python and JavaScript, and work in both Chinese and English.
